Childhood and the Early Life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) | Enayetul Karim |

Just as flowers bloom to soothe the human heart, as birds sing to make people happy, as the wind blows to cool the body, so the (pbuh), came to this earth to soothe the human heart.

Because in the Qur'an, referring to the sending of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) as a message of peace to the world, it says: "Oma Arsalnaka Illa Rahmatallil Alamin" I have sent you only as a mercy to the world (Surah Al Ambiya 107).

The birth of the Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, changed the history of the world. He is a human being who lost his father before birth. And Allah subhanahuwa ta'ala blessed this extraordinary and unique human being with rich and special features, known in history by miraculous events before birth.

The sentiment expressed by his mother Amina when he was not born while sleeping in his mother's womb proves that he is a great prophet.

When mother Amina went to the pond to fetch water, the water would rise from the bottom of the pond and enter Amina's pot, thus she would collect water to carry out various necessary tasks in her house. Not only that, when the Prophet (pbuh) was in his mother's womb, when his mother would go outside for any reason, if it was the intense heat of the sun at noon, a cloud would come from the sky to shade her.

When the baby Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, was in the womb of mother Amina, he was surprised that the tree under which he was walking and the tree was saluting him, the leaves and the branches of the tree were all knowing everything, but they were not honoring Amina.

When the Prophet (pbuh) was in his mother's womb, mother Amina went to take a bath. At the end, her mother-in-law, the grandmother of the Prophet (pbuh) was able to notice that a song from the body of mother Amina, as if it was a beautiful fragrance, enchanted the whole house.

One day, when his grandmother Ameena came out of the bathroom, she realized openly that the whole bathroom was enchanted by the fragrance, and she later informed her husband, Muhammad's grandfather, that this wonderful song from the body of the grandmother filled the whole room. As if to captivate. The grandfather of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was surprised when he heard this news.

The Prophet (pbuh) was born on 29th August 12th Rabiul Awal, Monday, 570 AD to the Quraysh tribe of Makkah, Arabia. When he was born, the midwife who assisted him in coming to the world, he narrates that all the children who come into the world come first with their feet, but the first thing that came to this world was not only his head, but his head was prostrate. After all children are born, they are separated from their mother's womb by cutting a cord, but the cord of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was also cut. When he was born he was cradled in a bed. He turned from that bed and prostrated again. Upon hearing the news of the birth of the child Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, grandfather Abdul Muttalib was very happy, he came home and the servant girl who gave him the good news that you have a grandson, immediately set him free.

The place where Prophet ﷺ was born is a square on the east side of the present Haram Sharif i.e. Kaaba, there is a street, a small room in front of that street where a library is now built is where Prophet ﷺ was born.

The lineage of the Prophet (pbuh) was excellent. Rasul SAW's father's name is Abdullah, his grandfather's name is Abdul Muttalib, and his grandfather's name is Halim. (Bukhari Sharif, Babu Mab Asin Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Salam)

The maternal lineage of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam is his mother's name is Amena. His father's name is Wahab Juhuri and his father's name is Abdul Manaf.

When the Prophet was born, his grandfather Abdul Muttalib was overjoyed. He lovingly named his grandson Muhammad but mother Amena named Ahmad as Allah Ta'ala uses both names in the Holy Quran.

When the Prophet (pbuh) passed the seventh day after his birth, his grandfather Abdul Muttalib completed his grandson's aqeeqah and decided to name him Muhammad, Iraq, and the grandson's nail-cut head was shaved.

It is also known that he completed his aqeeqah on 4 September 570 AD at the age of 7 days.

A slave girl of Abu Jahl nursed the Prophet after his birth. To Bibi Halima Radiyallahu Ta'ala Anha, before whom the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, was cherished.

According to some places in the Arab countries, some tribes were employed to make infants drink milk, so the grandson of Hazrat Abdul Muttalib drank milk.

Midwives came from different quarters to deliver. Allah Ta'ala chose the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam to stay in the house of Bibi Halima, originally to make Halima Radiyallahu ta'ala anhu financially prosperous. Bibi Halima Radiyallahu Ta'ala Anhu was a little poor in terms of finances but she was generous in terms of mentality, so Allah Ta'ala liked Halima Radiyallahu Ta'ala Anhu for this quality, but Allah Ta'ala asked the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) to drink milk in Halima's house. He was chosen as a mercy.

Bibi Halima Radiyallahu Ta'ala Anha came from her tribe to Makkah. He came to take the new children. The condition of the camel he brought with him was very fragile, weak. So he was a little late in coming but still he was ready to take Abdul Muttalib's grandson. When he took the grandson of Abdul Muttalib on the camel and started towards his house. Then he was surprised that my camel was not so strong and fast before. Presently I sat on the camel with this child in my lap, and the horse's strength and speed amazed me. He also observes his words while crossing the desert as far as the shadow of the clouds goes, as if running with camels to shade the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and save him from the heat of the sun!

Every time Bibi Halima used to give milk to the Prophet (pbuh) she noticed that the little child was doing justice from a young age. Insaf is establishing justice. She always reserved one of her mother's milk for her milk brother Abdullah. He used to drink milk only from the right side.

Because of the nurturing of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, his foster sister described him as saying that our little foster brother Muhammad was so quiet, gentle and humble that we all loved him from the bottom of our hearts. One day this nurse Shaima went to watch the game with him and noticed that a piece of cloud came from the sky so that the baby Mohammad would not suffer from the sunlight, so the piece of cloud was shading him!

The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, stayed for three years in the house of Bibi Halima, i.e. Banu Saad tribe. From there he got the opportunity to learn pure Arabic language.

Bibi Halima commented about the child Muhammad SAW that he grew up in a day as much as other boys would grow up in a month. And the others grew up to the extent of a year, the child Muhammad grew up to the extent of a month. When the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was four years old, he came to his mother. But due to an epidemic in Makkah at that time, he was again sent to Bibi Halima's house. Although he was not with his own mother during his childhood, he did not feel the emptiness of his own mother in the house of Halima Radiyallahu Ta'ala Anhu. Because Halima Radiyallahu Ta'ala Anha used to love and care for the baby Muhammad.

When the Prophet (pbuh) was four years old, he was brought up in the house of Bibi Halima. Then two angels came from the sky to purify the heart of the Prophet (pbuh). He came to purify all things and wash away the weaknesses of human needs and human causes to make them holy and pure.

The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam performed such purification of his heart twice in his young life, the first was at the age of four when he was in the house of Halimah Radiyallahu Ta'ala Anhu and the second was performed at the age of 10. No other prophet on earth had such purification of heart by angels to purify their hearts and make them fit for prophethood. So, dear sonamanis, we can easily say - Our Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, is a unique figure in the history of the world.

Dear reader, we have found a hadith about the pure of heart and about the opening of the chest, which was narrated by the famous companion Hazrat Abu Huraira Radiyallahu Ta'ala Anhu. There were two people sitting near my head. One said this is him, the second said, yes. Then both of them touched me and took out what was from my stomach and took out water from a golden vessel and washed it with water. Then another one said to purify his chest that is, I saw that his chest was purified. I felt no pain.

On the back of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was a seal known as the Seal of Prophethood. It was from the time of his birth. As a result, the Jewish scholars recognized the Prophet by seeing this seal, as mentioned in the previous book that a prophet would come with such a seal on his back.

Once there was a lot of heat in Makkah. As a result, the whole of Makkah was united. Then the Quraysh came to Abu Taleb and said - Abu Taleb has torn the entire valley and desert. Land deposits are drying up. Go to the Kaaba and tell the owner of the Kaaba

He protects us from this danger by raining. Then the child Muhammad and Abu Taleb entered inside the Kaaba. When his uncle prayed with the face of baby Muhammad, Allah accepted it. All the people of Makkah were saved from that danger.

After living in Bibi Halima's house for five long years, the Prophet (pbuh) came to his own mother at the age of five in 575 AD. By then he was able to fully master the Arabic language.

When he arrived at the age of five in 575 AD, his mother began to cross the road with him to visit his father Abdullah's grave and to visit various homes. On his way back from Madinah, he died at a place called Madana near Makkah when his mother Amina became seriously ill. His mother died in 577 AD when he was only 6 years old.

After the death of mother Amina, Dasi Ibn Umm Ayman conveyed Muhammad (pbuh) to his grandfather Abdul Muttalib in Makkah from a place called Madna. At that time in 577 AD, the age of the Prophet was only 6 years. At this age he was sent to his grandfather Abdul Muttalib to be brought up. Abdul Muttalib took care of his grandson after losing his parents.

When the Prophet was eight years six months and ten days old, he also lost his beloved grandfather Abdul Muttalib. His grandfather Abdul Mottaleb passed away. But what will he do? He must accept the cruel irony of fate! Having lost so many people at such a young age, he did not break down at all and moved forward with courage and confidence.

After the death of his grandfather, the responsibility of taking care of the child Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, fell on his uncle Abu Taleb. The uncle started taking care of him with all the care he could. But since Abu Taleb's financial condition was not stable, the Prophet (pbuh) had to give him some help. He traveled far and wide on business with his uncle and participated in various activities including shepherding.

As uncle Abu Taleb's financial situation was not stable, the child Muhammad had to make a living, so he refrained from mischief and sports with other boys. He worked as a shepherd in a poor family. While driving sheep in the field, he used to be absorbed in deep thoughts. How to attain nearness to Allah. How to be loved by the great Lord. He used to think about these things.

According to historians, when he was 13 or 14, he left with his uncle Abu Taleb to join a business trip to Syria. On the way, a priest named Bohaira observed the structure, personality, and behavior of the Prophet and realized that Muhammad was the last prophet, the last prophet. So he called Abu Talib and advised him to look after this boy Muhammad and advise him how to keep him safe from the enemy. He expressed fear that going to Taif could cause any harm. As a result, Abu Taleb sent him back to Mecca and ensured his nephew's safety.

During this trip, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, along with his uncle Abu Taleb, came to a town on the border of Syria, and when the caravan stopped, the Holy Prophet settled under an ancient tree there. Then the branches of the tree began to descend and provide him with shade. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was in love with the leaves, the branches of the trees, the trees were happy to find the Prophet (pbuh)!

Uncle Abu Taleb participated in a bloody battle in Makkah after returning from a trip. The name of that battle was Habul Fizar. The age of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was 15 years.

He saw gambling, horse racing and a terrible war between the Quraysh and the Qays called the battle of the wicked. In this war, he took part in the war with his uncle by collecting the thrown moles of the Kayes tribe. But he saw the horrors of this war and decided in his heart how to stop the bloodshed from the land of Arabia.

After the Prophet saw this horror, he established an organization with some of his friends called Hilful Fuzul or Shanti Sangh. By establishing Hilful Fuzul, he got an opportunity to stand by the oppressed and bloody crushed people of the society.

Played a role as a peace building organization against injustice and various prejudices of the society. The task of this organization was to help the oppressed. Resist the tyrant. Stop tribal disputes. Avoidance of truce. By forming this Sangha, they first worshiped in the Kaaba house.

After a few days he was regarded as a truthful, trustworthy boy throughout the land of Makkah. Because of his faithfulness he was loved by everyone in the society of that time and because of these qualities he was awarded the title of Tara Alamin. Truthfulness elevates people to higher and higher places.

The Prophet (pbuh) did business and learned business as a boy. He was able to excel in business. Which is evidenced later when Khadija Radiyallahu Ta'ala Anhu managed his business. There he conducted unique general business operations, showing his business acumen and his extraordinary acumen towards business affairs.

The Prophet (pbuh) lost his father before he was born. He lost his mother when he was six years old. Then he was brought up by his grandfather Abdul Muttalib but after two years he lost his grandfather also then he was brought up by his uncle Abu Taleb. Uncle Abu Taleb was bound by bonds of friendship and enmity with people looking out for his nephew's interests.

Dear learners, Can't our beloved Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, be our role model? We are hearing and reading about the qualities of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, from his childhood. Can we ever fail if we follow the life of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)Impossible!

There is a saying in the Old Testament, "Train up the child in the way he should go". Almighty Allah, with His super natural powers, raised the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) in a suitable form from his childhood, in which he was rich in all the qualities.

One of the characteristics of the boy Mohammad was truthfulness. Everyone called him Al-Amin regardless of party affiliation. Historian Khoda Bux said - He became known as a truthful person at a young age. Sympathy and compassion were overwhelming. His heart was always concerned for the widows and the helpless.

When the Prophet (pbuh) was young, he was very conscious. Thinking of her foster brother, she would leave her foster mother's left breast for him. And he used to drink only the right breast. He assisted his mother by riding Dumbass (fat) with his infant brother and sister when he started walking as a toddler.

The Prophet (pbuh) always possessed a balanced nature from his childhood. He never lived a proud life. There was no trace of pride in him. He was generous in nature. Even he did not like arrogance and pretentiousness.

The Prophet (pbuh) always treated people well. He never misbehaved with anyone. He used to refrain himself from backbiting, slandering, quarreling. At that time. There was no one in Arabia who could say that Muhammad had treated me this badly. Mohammed treated me badly. Who is known as the Superman of the World in the present ideal world.

When the Prophet (pbuh) reached the age of a boy, he played a leading role in protecting humanity by thinking about the disaster of war and the loss of humanity. The strong expression of his thought spirit behind the organization he established with the youths really made the world think today that it was possible for such a great man to establish the “Shanti Sangh” at such a young age. Later, with strong leadership, he accelerated the work of this organization throughout the Arab lands.

When the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was a child, his intellect was keen and extraordinary. Historian Amir Ali said - Hazrat Muhammad Sallam did not receive education from any institution, he learned the real lesson by heart. The qualities that had been gathered in Muhammad as a child were fulfilled after receiving prophethood. It is said in the historical book Encyclopedia of Britannica - Of all the religious personalities of the world Mohammed sallallahu Salam was the most successful.

Dear reader, just as it is impossible for someone standing on the shore of the sea to take a drop of water and begin to measure the water of the sea somehow, it is impossible for him to collect the biography of the Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wasallam and to present a part of his life. So the famous poet Sheikh Saadi said in a poem in honor of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace:

"I cannot speak of your dignity

But I can say that your honor is second only to God."
